On 14 August 2026, on the feast of the Procession of the Precious Wood of the Life-Giving Cross of the Lord, the patronal feast of our church was solemnly celebrated in Jõgeva.
The Divine Liturgy was celebrated by Priest Vyacheslav Dmitriev, Dean of the Peipsi region and rector of the Church of the Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos in the village of Nina and the Church of the Life-Giving Cross of the Lord in Jõgeva; Priest Alexander Silov, rector of the Church of the Theophany of the Lord in Lohusuu; Archpriest Vladimir Sokolov, rector of the Church of St Nicholas in Mustvee; and Priest Valentin.

Today we celebrated the patronal feast of our church — a bright, joyful and truly heartfelt day. We gathered together in a warm, welcoming and friendly atmosphere to pray, to share our common joy, and once again to feel how wonderful and close-knit our parish community is.
It was especially heart-warming to have with us on this festive day those who have supported our church for many years, helping, working and contributing to the life and warmth of our parish. Thanks to each and every one of you, our church is not simply a place of prayer, but a true spiritual home where we are united by faith, love, kindness and mutual support.
May today’s feast leave bright and joyful memories in our hearts, bring us peace and spiritual warmth, and may God’s grace and mercy always accompany each of us and our families.
We wish everyone good health, happiness, peace, family well-being, spiritual strength and God’s help in every good endeavour.
May the Lord protect each of you, strengthen our parish community and help us to remain united in prayer, love and good works.
